I got this for my wife as she often has tight muscles. She wanted something that she could use while sitting to quickly message her back – unfortunately, this is awkward at best for her to hold and use on her back. She just can’t get the angle correct to really get the knots in her back.I can use it on her and of course that works – obviously, if you’re using it on someone else you have to pay attention to how much pressure you use. So we’ll get some use out of it, but not for what we originally got it for.

This beaded massager works really well for me. The beads are positioned in such a way that I can massage painful spots on my shoulders, neck, and back area on my own. It took me a little while to figure out how to access all of my pain points, but this massager can reach them. I think it would be even better if it were a few inches longer and came with some visual guidance on massaging muscles around the body.The massager itself is made of attractive, stained wood and smells a little coming out of the storage bag. Thankfully the smell dissipates with time. It’s attractive enough that I can leave it out on my table instead of hiding it away somewhere. I appreciate the visible reminder that I can use the massager to alleviate some of my pain in addition to ice and heat.

This gua sha tool really helps with getting the knots out of your neck and shoulder area, I just wished that the handles were longer as I was having a hard time grasping the short handles. They could have made the handles extendable too, that way it could fit more people’s grips (especially those with wider shoulder lengths). Other that that, the tool works very well for it’s intended purposes and I would love for the opportunity to find one that has a longer handle width.

First of all, you can’t really use this thing to massage yourself except for your front thighs. It can be used however to massage someone else. This isn’t my main problem with it though as it was kinda expected from the pictures. I really don’t like the wood finish because it has a bunch of very small cracks that grab onto your clothes and ruin them. It also feels weird on bare skin. It only feels okay if you use massage oil with it but then the thing is oily and hard to clean. Overall this thing is more trouble than it’s worth and I don’t recommend it.
